What you'll see
  • Air vortex cannon.A rolling ring of air crosses the stage and knocks over a target; theatrical fog then makes the vortex visible in flight.
  • Van de Graaff generator.Static charge builds until a pre-screened volunteer's hair stands on end - attraction and repulsion the back row can see.
  • Dry ice chamber.Dense fog spills from a clear chamber and then fills a bubble: solid carbon dioxide turning straight into gas.
  • Giant pressure chamber. An oversized object swells inside a clear vacuum chamber as the air is pumped out, then settles back as pressure returns.
  • Color-reaction chemistry.Vivid liquids in large clear vessels change color when they meet; a volunteer predicts the result first.
  • Elephant Toothpaste finale.A secured reaction chamber sends up a towering column of foam while the whole room counts down and calls the height.

Science fun for Orlando kids, without the lines

Orlando has plenty of science behind a ticket gate. Ours comes to you. Big Idea Wonder Lab turns your living room, clubhouse or community room into a working lab: fog spilling off the table, colors changing in giant flasks, and a foam eruption the whole room counts down to.

Our Orlando team covers Orange, Seminole, Osceola and Lake counties, from Winter Park and Lake Mary to Kissimmee, Sanford, Clermont and Winter Garden. It runs indoors when the afternoon storms roll in: all we need is power and room to set up.
